The James Dyson Foundation was established in 2002 to promote charitable giving, especially to charities in the fields of science, engineering, medicine, and education.
The Dyson Education Box is a free resource for teachers and lecturers to use in school or college. It contains a Dyson DCO8 Telescope Wrap vacuum cleaner for product analysis and eight turbine head tools for disassembly.

Opening in September 2009, the Dyson School of Design Innovation will give young people the skills they need to become the UK's future innovators.
Like any school, theory will play its part, but students will be encouraged to apply their thinking to an everyday context too, with the support of renowned engineers from Dyson, Airbus, Rolls-Royce and others.
It will be the first school of its kind in the UK.

Dyson Airblade™ is a new type of hand dryer that uses a high velocity blade of air to wipe hands dry more hygienically and faster than any other.
It has recently been installed in many prestigious washrooms across the UK, including Jamie Oliver's flagship 'Fifteen' restaurant in London.

The James Dyson Foundation's UK Student Design Award is run in association with the annual New Designers show.
(left) This year's winner, Michael Chen, designed 'Reactiv' - a cycling jacket with responsive LEDs that communicate the cyclist's movements to other road users.
Issey Miyake + Dyson

Issey Miyake's creative director, Dai Fujiwara, has invited James Dyson to design the set for their Autumn 2007 fashion show.James has designed a set based around wind-power; a giant wind tunnel through which visitors will enter the event and another from which models will arrive on the catwalk. A series of giant hoses will be used to blow the clothes around as they are modelled.
The outfits; men and women's collections, are based on Dyson machine parts and engineering drawings.
