Airflow selection

The level of sound from your appliance will vary depending on the airflow selected. To decrease the airflow, press the 'Airflow control' button until you have 1 white LED light.

Is the problem with the airflow or the temperature?

Airflow

The direction of airflow from the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is from the opposite side to the controls.

To increase the airflow, press the 'Airflow control' button on the back of the appliance until you have three white LED lights. The available settings are:

One white light - Gentle (Styling)

Two white lights - Medium (Regular drying)

Three white lights - Fast (Fast drying)

Turn the product off, and unplug it from the socket.

Clean shroud with dry, lint-free cloth.

Remove outer grille.

Wipe internal mesh with dry, lint-free cloth, re-install outer grille.

For stubborn debris, you can also try brushing with a new or lightly used, clean, dry toothbrush.

Turn the product off, and unplug it from the socket.

Remove the outer grille.

Brush the inner mesh firmly with a new or lightly used, clean, dry toothbrush for 1 minute. Be sure to brush the entire filter, brushing alternatively up and down and side to side.

Re-install outer grille.

Turn product on for 1 minute.

Has this resolved the problem?

Do not use other makeup products, cleaning products or solvents of any kind. Do not pour liquid directly onto the filter.

Three flashing red lights

Turn the product off, and unplug it from the wall and leave for 30 seconds.

Remove outer grille.

Apply warm water to a lint-free cloth (alternatively you can use a wet-wipe). Wring out the excess water from the cloth - The cloth should be damp, not wet.

Wipe inner mesh with the damp cloth, leave the filter to sit for 5 mins.

Brush firmly with a clean, dry toothbrush for 1-2 minutes.

Fully dry filter mesh with a dry, lint-free cloth. Re-install outer grille.

Re-install outer grille.

Temperature

Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is intelligent. It has a clever microprocessor which regulates temperature to help prevent extreme heat damage to protect natural shine. The maximum operating temperature in normal working conditions is up to 105°C.

To increase the temperature, press the 'Temperature control' button on the back of the appliance until you have three red LED lights. The available settings are:

One red light - Low (60°C) Gentle drying.

Two red lights - Medium (80°C) Regular drying

Three red lights - High (100°C) Fast drying and styling

Turn the product off, and unplug it from the socket.

Remove the filter

Slide the filter cleaning brush over the cable and onto the filter cage. Using a rotating action clean the filter cage thoroughly. Remove the filter cleaning brush.

Hold the handle of your appliance and pull the filter cage downwards, onto the cable.

Gently pull open the filter cage and slide it off the cable.

Wash the filter

Wash the filter cage under a warm, running tap.

Tap the filter cage to remove excess water.

Clean the filter

Using a rotating and up and down action, clean the filter mesh with the filter cleaning brush until all the debris has been removed.

WARNING: Do not use water or chemicals to clean the filter mesh.

Re-fit the filter

Gently pull the filter cage open and slide it onto the cable.

Slide the filter cage towards the handle and twist until it snaps into place.

To ensure the continued performance of your product, we recommend following these cleaning instructions at least once a week.

Pacemakers

The manual recommends to keep away from pacemakers,

Defibrillators, credit cards and electronic storage media. The product is compliant (CE marked) and if there are any concerns then consult with a doctor with regards to specific requirements of your pacemaker.

The magnets have been measured to product approximately 70 gauss at 10mm and drops towards 10 gauss at around 50mm if pushed for a magnet strength.
