Check the bin inlet

With the bin removed, check the bin inlet flap for blockages and remove as necessary.

Ensure that it moves freely, fluff or fibres jamming the hinge can cause the flap to close resulting in low suction and pulsating noise.

Please note that the inlet flap in the bin will make a rattle noise. This is normal and means that it is moving freely.

Close the bin base hold the bin so that the inlet is pointing to the floor and shake the bin.

Check the motor's sound

Remove all tools and accessories from the machine.

Put the machine in max power mode (the light on the max power button will illuminate when the trigger is pressed).

Pull and hold the trigger for 10 seconds.

Does the machine pulsate and cut out without any tools?

Clear the mini motorised head

With the tool removed from the machine, remove brushbar and clear away any hair or fibres.

Check the opening for blockages and remove as necessary.

Refit the brushbar ensuring that no bristles get stuck in either end.

Has clearing the Mini Motorised head resolved the problem?

Test the floor tool

Attach the main floor tool directly onto the bin inlet (without the wand).

Press and hold trigger for 10 seconds.

The floor tool shown may vary from the product selected but the process remains the same.

Did the machine pulsate with the bin removed?

How to wash the filter

Please follow the steps in the video.

Has washing the filters resolved the problem?

Removing the pre-filter

Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the charger before removing the filter. Be careful not to pull the ‘ON’ trigger.

To remove the filter, lift it out of the top of the appliance

Removing the post-filter

To unlock the post filter rotate it anti-clockwise until the two solid black dots line up.

Washing the pre-filter

Wash the filter with cold water only.

Run water over the outside of the filter until the water runs clear.

Squeeze and twist the pre-filter with both hands to make sure the excess water is removed.

Note: The filter may require more frequent washing if vacuuming fine dust or if used mainly in ‘Powerful suction’ mode.

Washing the post-filter

Wash the filter with cold water only.

Run water over the outside of the filter until the water runs clear.

Tap and shake the post filter to expel all debris.

Drying the pre-filter

Lay the pre-filter on its side to dry. Leave to dry completely for a minimum of 24 hours.

Do not put the filters in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave or near a naked flame.

Drying the post-filter

Lay the post-filter on its side to dry. Leave to dry completely for a minimum of 24 hours.

Refitting the pre-filter

To refit the pre-filter, place the dry filter back into the top of the appliance. Make sure it is seated properly.

Refitting the post-filter

Rotate the post filter clockwise until it locks in place and the solid black dot lines up with the empty circle.

If the machine still pulsates with the clear bin and filter removed, the cyclone may be blocked.

Check the cyclone

Check inside the cyclone for blockages, gently tapping it on the side of a dustbin to remove any debris.

Re-test the machine.

Gently tap the side of the cyclone over a bin (This will remove any fine dust clogged up in the cyclone)

Did the machine pulsate with the bin removed?

Remove the bin and turn on the machine

Press the bin base release button to empty bin, leave bin base open.

Press the release button again to remove the bin from the cyclone.

Is the noise present with the bin removed?

Air could be escaping due to a missing seal or blockage.

Now press the trigger on the main body

Check 'Max' Button

If the machine has no power and you have a blue light on the battery, please check the 'Max' button light and count the flashes for the following;

The flashes may appear quickly - so it will be best to check twice.

If the max button flashes 7/8 times - the machine is too hot / cold.

If the max button flashes 10 or more, there will be a blockage somewhere in the machine.

Charge and check the light

Put the machine on charge and check the light.

What does the light show when the machine is plugged in?

Is the machine being charged in the dock?

Check the connection

Ensure the charger is plugged into the socket and the charger pin is fully pushed into the machine.

Return to working temperature

This indicates that the machine is outside of it's normal operating temperature (5oc - 35oc).

Please place the machine in an area that stays within this temperature range and leave it to charge there for 3.5 hours.

Check the connection

The charger cable may be out of position in the dock.

Remove the charger by pushing charger pin firmly towards the back of the dock.

Once removed, refit by pushing the end of the charger (as you would put a pen into its lid) until it clicks.

Put the machine back on charge.

Pull and hold the trigger while watching the light on the battery.

Is there a red flashing light on the battery?

Try a different plug socket

Plug the machine back in using a different plug socket.

What does the light show in the new plug socket?

Red flashing light

Hold in the trigger and count the number of times the light flashes.

How many times did the light flash?

Hold the trigger

Pull and hold the trigger for 10 seconds.

Reset

Press the button for 3 seconds and release.

Repeat this 5 times.

Check through both openings of the head for blockages and remove as necessary.

Reassemble and retest the machine.

Undo one fastener to remove the brushbar.

Remove brushbar and clear away any hair or fibres. Check the opening for any blockages and remove as necessary.

Refit the brushbar and lock the fastener.

Reassemble and test the machine.

Put the mini motorised head on the machine.

Press and hold trigger for 10 seconds

Does the machine pulsate and cut out with the Mini Motorised head?

Test the battery

Cyclone does not need to be removed for this check.

With the bin removed, undo the phillips head screw at the back of the handle.

Undo the phillips screw in the front of the main body.

Pull the battery down, out of the main body.

Press the button on the battery and watch the light on it's side.

Clear the mini motorised head

With it removed from the machine, remove the brushbar from the mini motirised head.

Using scissors carefully cut any hair or fibres away from the brushbar.

Reassemble the tool and attach it to the machine.

Test the tool without putting it in contact with any surface.

Check the electrical contacts

Press the red release catch to open the bin base.

Press the red catch again to release the cyclone top from the bin assembly.

Once the bin is removed, clean the bin electrical contacts and the main body electrical contacts.

NB:

Check the status lights

Ensure the machine is fully assembled, and pull the trigger.

Check the light at the base of the handle (not the Max Power indicator).

Test the machine

Pull and hold the trigger for 10 seconds.

Reset

Press the button for 3 seconds and release.

Repeat this 5 times.
