How do I register my free Dyson guarantee?
You can register your guarantee online, by post or by phone. To save time, you'll need the following information about your machine:
- Serial number (on the machine / registration form that came in the box)
- Date you purchased the machine (receipt or delivery note, whichever is later)

How long are new Dyson machines guaranteed for?
Because of the lengths we go to in development and testing, we have utter confidence in every one of our machines. That's why we provide some of the longest guarantees in the industry. New Dyson upright and cylinder vacuum cleaners are guaranteed for five years. New handhelds and fans are guaranteed for two years.
What is covered by the free Dyson guarantee?

What is not covered by the free Dyson guarantee?
There are some circumstances that are not covered by a Dyson guarantee. These include accidental damage, misuse, blockages, use of parts or accessories that are not Dyson Genuine Components and repairs or alterations carried out by parties other than Dyson or its authorised agents. What are refurbished machines?
Refurbished machines have seen minimal prior use, usually for demonstration or display purposes. Or on the rare occasion when someone has changed their mind and returned their machine after slight use.
How long are refurbished Dyson machines guaranteed for?
Refurbished Dyson machines are stripped, cleaned, rebuilt and tested by Dyson engineers to a nearly-new standard. Every refurbished machine bought from Dyson comes with a free Dyson guarantee that reflects the thoroughness of the refurbishment process. Refurbished B grade uprights and cylinders are guaranteed for two years. Refurbished B grade handhelds and fans are guaranteed for one year. C grade refurbished upright and cylinder machines are guaranteed for 1 year. C grade refurbished handhelds are guaranteed for 6 months.
What happens when my guarantee runs out?
Dyson do not design products to last for a limited time. We want our machines to keep working as long as possible - for the length of the guarantee and beyond. If you have problems with your machine after the guarantee has run out and you'd like to give yours a new lease of life, you can book a service with a Dyson engineer who will visit you at home or at work. It costs just £79, including parts and labour.
Where can I buy genuine Dyson spares and accessories?
Dyson spares and accessories are developed by the same engineers who develop Dyson machines, using the same materials. What if I use non-genuine Dyson spares or a non-Dyson approved service engineer?
Using non-genuine Dyson spares invalidates your guarantee. Dyson engineers only use genuine spares.
We have received information that bogus engineers sometimes contact people at random claiming to be from Dyson. The work these companies carry out is often unnecessary and they use non-genuine parts. It can cost a lot more than their original quote - up to £150. And because it's not carried out by an approved Dyson engineer, it invalidates your Dyson guarantee.
We never call without permission or turn up unannounced. If someone calls or knocks on your door claiming to be from Dyson, they aren't.

What if a problem can't be dealt with by phone or online?
If something can't be resolved over the phone or online, a Dyson engineer will visit you at home or at work, normally within 72 hours - even on a Saturday.
How will my guarantee be affected if I move abroad?
The guarantee provided is applicable to the country in which the product was purchased. If the product is taken abroad the guarantee may be invalidated. However, we will always endeavour to assist you in your new country of residence.
