Air valve motor

The valve mechanism is driven by a brushless stepper motor, to allow remote actuation and switching between Diffused mode and Fan mode.

Air Multiplier technology

Projects a long-range stream of smooth air. No need for blades.

PTC plates

Air circulates between the plates and external casing, to heat the air as it leaves the machine.

Formaldehyde sensor

Solid state electrochemical cells precisely detect formaldehyde for the lifetime of the machine.

Gas and particulate sensors

Measures and detects particles and volatile organic compounds in the air.

360 HEPA H13 filter

9 metres of borosilicate microfibres, pleated over 200 times, captures 99.95% of pollutants as small as 0.1 microns.1

Selective catalytic oxidisation filter

Traps formaldehyde in catalytic tunnels, continuously breaking it down into water and CO2.

Activated carbon filter

A layer of carbon captures gases1 such as benzene and NO2.

Amazing changed our nights for the best

Mclaughlin

My 4 year old son has asthma and he is at his worst when trying to sleep, before we purchased our air purifier he would rarely get a full night sleep. He would wake up several times throughout the night coughing which would leave him very upset. Since we got our air purifier he no longer wakes at night unless he has a nightmare lol. Thanks very much Dyson product has been a life changer for us.

Frequently asked questions

What is new about the Dyson Purifier range and how is it different to other purifiers?

Dyson engineers are perfectionists. Channelling our relentless dissatisfaction, we have re-engineered the Dyson Purifier range to be our first purifiers fully sealed to HEPA H13 standard. Capturing 99.95% of ultrafine particles and preventing pollutants from leaking back into the air you breathe.

What is different about the Dyson Purifier Formaldehyde range?

The Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde has all of the capabilities found in our advanced purification products but goes a step further to detect and destroy formaldehyde. An added solid state-sensor precisely detects formaldehyde, while our catalytic filter breaks it down into two safer molecules – carbon dioxide and water.

What is formaldehyde and what are common sources of it?

Formaldehyde is a polluting gas formed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen that is commonly found in homes. Common sources of formaldehyde in your home could be: paint and varnishes, air fresheners, mattresses, furniture, household cleaners, carpets, particleboard and plywood, electronics, dryer sheets, nail polish remover, moth balls, toys, fireplaces and wood burning stoves.

How often should I replace my filter?

We recommend replacing the HEPA+Carbon filter every 12 months. That's because over time, filters can get clogged with pollutants, and even let unpleasant odours back into the room. The machine will alert you when it’s time to change filters. A filter life reading can be found on the LCD screen and via the MyDyson™ app. The catalytic filter never needs replacing.

  • 1 Third party full machine testing based on GB/T 18801-2018 formaldehyde cumulative clean mass testing with continuous injection until plateau of formaldehyde CADR is achieved. Results may vary in practice.
  • 2 Tested for filtration efficiency at 0.1 microns (EN1822, ISO29463)
  • 3 In maximum setting. Tested for air projection, purification coverage in an 81m³ room and heating performance in a 35m³ room.
  • 4 Particle challenge by DEHS oil specified in EN1822 within a chamber specified in ASTM F3150. Tested in Max Mode at IBR US, for whole machine efficiency above 99.95%.
  • 5 Gas capture rates may vary.
  • 6 Requires device to run app, Wi-Fi or mobile data, Bluetooth 4.0 support, and iOS version 14.0 or Android version 8.0 (or above). Standard data and messaging rates may apply. App control doesn’t apply to heating.
