Dyson Redefines Design Narrative at World Architecture Festival (WAF)
-
In the world of design, the World Architecture Festival (WAF) stands as an eminent platform for designers to showcase exceptional and inspirational designs on a global stage. This year, Dyson has had the honour of participating in WAF, to showcase Dyson technology and design, and its applicability through design and architecture projects of all scales.

Why Dyson at WAF?
WAF serves as a premium platform for design practices, offering Dyson a unique opportunity to engage with influential figures from top global design firms. Over the course of the festival, designers from around the world converged to not only display their work but also to foster valuable connections within their professional community.
For Dyson, the decision to participate in WAF goes beyond the conventional perception associated with a technology company. While many recognise Dyson as a consumer-oriented product business commonly used in home settings, Dyson has long aimed to build relationships across the architecture industry – from our early days developing Lighting technology to today’s multi-category business. The goal is to integrate Dyson into the design community, creating healthier, sustainable built environments.
Dyson aims to tell its story within through the lens of design, emphasising how Dyson machines contribute to the design community’s affinity for storytelling.

Key Initiatives
Dyson’s Global Estates Director, Anna Xu, played a key role on the ‘Super Jury’, the WAF judging panel giving a unique opportunity to evaluate projects and propose category winners, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in design and engineering.
A highlight of Dyson's participation for us was opening up Dyson’s headquarters, St James Power Station, for a tour where attendees gained insights into the space’s design, from the bespoke spiral staircase to the cathedral-like windows, to the painstakingly refurbished iconic chimneys.
