Check inside the U-bend for blockages and remove if necessary.
Disconnect the Wand from the hose. Stretch out the hose and check for any splits. If the hose is damaged, select 'part broken'.
Plug the machine in and switch it ON. Place your hand over the end of the hose and test the suction.
Look through the Wand. You should see light shining through. If not, remove the blockage.
Connect the Wand to the hose and test the machine.

Undo the fastener with a coin.
Remove the Brush bar from the Mini turbine head.
Clear any hair, threads and debris from the Brush bar. Inspect the duct on the underside of the Turbine head for blockages and remove if necessary.
Refit the Brush bar and fasten the Mini turbine head fastener with a coin.
Test the Mini Turbine head on the machine.
The Mini turbine head will work if the suction is strong. This issue can be resolved by carrying out performance checks or washing the filter.
If the Mini turbine head is damaged, choose the order option.

A damp or musty smell is caused when dust in the cyclone has come into contact with water.
It may not be a direct contact with water, for example when vacuuming pet hair that is slightly damp, this moisture will combine with the dust in the cyclone causing the smell.
Additionally the smell may occur if the filter goes back into the machine wet.

If your machine is spitting out dust, this indicates that there is a blockage.

Pull back the Wand cap.
Turn the machine on and place your hand on the end of the Wand.
Pull the Wand up from the red cuff at the top.
Press the silver release button in the connecting collar and remove the wand from the hose.

Lift up the Wand cap and pull the metal tube from inside the Wand until it locks into place and comes away from the machine.
To separate the Wand from the hose press the release button located on the Wand handle and pull the hose and Wand apart.
Attach the tool to the end of the Wand or hose, ensuring it clicks into place.
To lift the machine, use the carrying handle on the cyclone top only.
For your safety, do not press the cyclone release catch when carrying your machine.
Always work with the machine at the bottom of the stairs. The hose should stretch to the top of the stairs.
Lift up the Wand cap and pull the metal tube from inside the Wand until it locks into place and comes away from the machine.

Attach the tool to the end of the Wand or hose, ensuring it clicks into place.
