On the side of the Direct drive cleaner head, locate the end cap. Using a coin, turn the end cap anticlockwise a quarter of the way to remove it.
Note: There should be a small padlock icon along with directional arrows to help you unlock the end cap.

Remove the Brush bar from the Cleaner head and clear away any hair or fibres.
Check the neck of the Cleaner head (where the Cleaner head connects to the Wand) for any blockages. Ensure there is no build up of dust or debris in the small crevice between where the Brush bar sits and the neck of the Cleaner head.

With the Brush bar clear from any debris, refit the Brush bar back into the cleaner head and securely fasten the end cap.
Place the Cleaner head onto the Wand and test the machine.

To ensure the correct checks are carried out, we will need to determine if this is a pick up issue or if the machine is pulsating. We can check this by seeing what light shows on the machine.

Does a light appear?
The machine is designed to pulsate. This is an audible feature that indicates a restriction of airflow and prevents damage to the motor. This is usually caused by blockage within the machine or a clogged filter.
When the machine is pulsating, it will switch on and off in quick succession. Make sure the machine is cool before running through the following checks.
Remove the tools
Please ensure the bin is empty before continuing with any checks.
Remove all tools and accessories from the machine e.g. Wand, Cleaner head, Crevice tool etc.

Press and hold the trigger for 10 seconds.
Check the Wand
Check both ends of the Wand for blockages and remove as necessary.
Refit the Cleaner head onto the Wand and connect the Wand back onto the machine.

Push the bin release catch underneath the bin to release the bin base. Check the opening on the cyclone shroud for any blockages. Re-attach the bin and close the base.

WARNING: Do not put the filter in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave, or near a naked flame.

Remove the filter by twisting anticlockwise to the open position and gently pull away. Remove any excess debris from the filter prior to washing.

Wash the inside of the filter first; hold it upright under the cold tap and agitate using a rotation motion.

Wash the outside of the filter; fill it with cold water, place your hand over the open end and shake gently.

Repeat washing the inside and outside of the filter until the water runs clear.
Gently tap the filter to remove any excess water.
Drying the filter
Leave the filter to dry with the open end facing up for as long as possible.
Ensure the filter is completely touch dry prior to refitting.
WARNING: Do not put the filter in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven, microwave, or near a naked flame.

To refit, return the filter to the open position and twist clockwise until it clicks into place.

Dock assembly
To assemble your Dok, place the base on the floor.
Put the lower body and tool case on top and slide forward until it clicks.

Next, place the upper body on top. Gently slide it forwards until it clicks.

Grab the four cleanerhead clips and slide them onto the sides of the Dok.

Insert the charging cable into the back of the upper body.
With the charger facing upwards, place the small plate on top and push it down until you hear a click.
Gently push the charger cable into the grooves, then plug it in.

To store your wand and in-use cleaner head, place the cleaner head on the base with the wand angled towards you. Move the wand back towards one of the lower wand clips. Press it in until you hear a click.
Slide the main body of the vacuum down onto the charging section of the upper body.

Slide the tool case out of the lower body. Store your accessories as shown in the image.

If you are storing your Dok on a table, place the base onto the surface. Slide the upper body onto it, and slide the two wand clips into place as shown.

Remove the battery
You need to unscrew three Phillips screws to release the battery.
One is on the rear of the handle and the other two are on the underside of the battery.
Remove the old battery from your machine's handle.
Dispose of it as per local codes and regulations.

Replace the battery
Attach the new battery to the handle.
Secure it in place with the three screws.
Your new battery will only be partially charged. So it's important to fully charge it before using it for the first time.

Remove the bin
Press the red wand-release button at the top of the wand and pull the wand away from the bin.

To open the Clear bin, hold the machine with the Bin in a downwards position, and firmly push the Bin release lever.
IMPORTANT: do not pull the 'ON' trigger when emptying the bin.

Press the red, square release button located on the underside of the bin and slide the bin off its runner.
Dispose of the existing bin as per local codes and regulations.

Replace the bin
To refit, insert the spine into the bin runner. Close the clear bin by pushing the bin base upwards until the clear bin and base click into place.

Removing the filter
Remove the filter unit by twisting anti-clockwise to the open position. Gently pull away from the appliance.

Press the red wand release button to remove the machine from the wand.

Empty the bin by holding your machine in a downwards position and firmly push the red bin-release lever.

To remove the bin, press the red, square release button on the underside of the bin and slide the bin off its runner. Keep to one side.

Remove the filter
Remove the filter by turning it anticlockwise. Gently pull it away from the machine.

Remove the battery by pressing the red battery release button. Keep the battery to one side.
Refit the battery to the new main body by aligning and clicking into place.

Refit the filter by twisting until securely in place.

Dispose of any old parts in accordance with local codes and regulations.
To refit the bin, slide the bin back onto its runner. Push until clicked into place.

Remove the brush bar
Press the cleaner head release button on the end of the wand. Place the cleaner head upside down.

Use a coin to unlock the end cap.
Twist the end cap and remove it from your brush bar. Don’t wash the end cap.

Slide your brush bar out of the cleaner head.
Dispose of any old parts in accordance with local codes and regulations.

Replace the brush bar
Push the end cap back on to your new brush bar and slide it back into the cleaner head.
Turn the end cap clockwise into the locked position.

A flat head screwdriver is required to replace this part.

Place your Direct Drive cleaner head on a flat surface, with the brushbar facing upwards.
Insert a flat head or slotted screwdriver into one of the four circled grooves behind the real seal. Gently push the screwdriver down until the real seal begins to lift.

Remove it from the cleaner head.

Dispose of any parts in accordance with local codes and regulations.

Replace the rear seal
Line up your new real seal with the four grooves.

Press down on the real seal, on the opposite side to the grooves, until you hear a click.
