New Reuleaux triangle pads
Washes right into corners
Many robot mops rely on circular mopping pads, which leaves gaps when cleaning corners. Inspired by the Reuleaux triangle – a curved shape formed from three circular arcs – the new Dyson Reuleaux triangle pads maintain a constant width, moving smoothly like a circle while its corner points extend into edges and corners.
Combined with a precise eccentric movement pattern, the Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry robot vacuum maximises contact with edges and corners for great coverage all the way to the wall.
New Dyson Twin-capture system for enhanced pick-up performance
Two suction systems working as one
A robot’s pick-up performance is a cumulation of multiple factors beyond just suction power. The cleaner head, and how it interacts with dust and debris, play an equally crucial role in determining the machine’s pick-up potential. Larger debris is heavier and requires more sweeping power, while fine dust requires strong, consistent, and uninterrupted suction to be captured effectively.
Dyson’s new Twin-capture system addresses this by splitting the task. Bristles on the brush bar mechanically sweep larger debris directly into the machine, reducing reliance on suction power, while the vacuum motor focuses on capturing fine dust and smaller particles. By combining mechanical pick-up with focused, powerful suction, the new Twin-capture system enables our robot vacuums to deliver efficient and consistent cleaning performance across different debris types.
New extending anti-tangle side sweepers
Improved edge pick-up with reduced maintenance
Most robot side sweepers rely on flicking dust and debris into the airflow path. This approach can be inconsistent, often scattering debris, while the design of traditional brush fingers leads to hair tangling that requires frequent maintenance. Dyson engineers set out to solve these limitations by rethinking both the structure and function of the side sweeper.
The result is a redesigned system engineered at a precise angle, with a webbed connector that actively controls the pressure and direction of the brushes. This ensures dust and debris are guided into the airflow path in a more controlled and efficient manner, rather than being scattered, while reducing hair wrapping and tangling around the bristles. The side sweepers also extend outward to reach closer to walls and into corners, improving coverage in areas that are typically missed.
Dyson’s core technologies
Now automated on our latest robot vacuums
The new robots introduce Dyson’s core technologies on our cordless vacuums into an intelligent and autonomous format. Acoustic dust sensing, powered by a piezo sensor, detects dust levels in real time and allows the robot to adapt its cleaning accordingly, delivering power when it’s needed most.
The bagless docking station is equipped with eight powerful Dyson cyclones that hygienically empty dry debris after every clean, storing up to 90 days of dry waste within a sealed, hygienic system, so your robot does not lose suction and maintains optimal performance on every clean².
For the Dyson R2 Nurovi™ Wash+Dry robot vacuum, the dock also automatically washes the Reuleaux triangle pads using 75°C heated water after every clean before drying them with 45°C hot air, preventing mould and odour build-up.
Connected control and customisation
The MyDyson™ app is central to the robot experience, giving users complete control and visibility over how their robot cleans. Through the app, users can set personalised cleaning schedules and define specific zones, monitor cleaning performance in real time, and customise cleaning modes to suit their home environment. The app also provides data-driven cleaning insights, offering clear visibility into coverage and cleaning activity after each session.
