Understanding your hair shape
Hair strands naturally have a shape – ranging from poker straight to tightly coiled. Knowing this shape helps to choose the best products, devices and styles for its care.
Our Pre-style cream is tailored to two groups of hair shapes: straight to wavy, and curly to coily. To choose, imagine your hair has been freshly washed and left to air-dry. What shape do the majority of the strands take?
Tip: If your hair has been permanently straightened or styled, refer to the shape your hair currently takes when air-dried.

Straight to wavy
If your hair strands naturally dry straight, form a loose wave, or a more distinct S-shape with some spiral curling, select a straight to wavy formula.

Curly to coily
If your hair strands naturally dry into loose spiral curls and ringlets, tighter corkscrew or S-curls, or a closely-coiled Z-pattern, select a curly to coily formula.
Light and rich conditioning
Our Pre-style cream formulas are enriched with nourishing conditioning ingredients, including oil blends. Each variant has been carefully developed to deliver optimum conditioning benefit, without weigh-down on the hair.
Conditioning preference can be influenced by multiple factors, and can change over time, depending on your hair’s condition and styles.
