DYSON 2025 RESULTS: Tariffs and currency hit hard, but Dyson launches more products than ever before and grows EBITDA by 18%

- 2025 EBITDA: £1.11bn (2024: £0.94bn)
- Operating profit: £0.6bn (2024: £0.52bn)
- Revenue: £6.13bn (2024: £6.57bn)
- R&D investment: more than £400m
- Number of patents filed on new innovation: 252
Dyson launched 13 new products in 2025, more than ever before in a single year, with EBITDA climbing to £1.11 billion – up 18% – and operating profit growing 15% to £0.6bn.
The company invested more than £400m in R&D, including in AI and machine learning, culminating in the launch of the Dyson Spot+Scrub™ Ai robot last October. This robot vacuum and wet floor cleaner uses vision and intelligence to detect, identify and remove stains, with a self-emptying docking station.
Dyson’s newly unveiled products in 2025 also included the Dyson PencilVac™ – the world’s slimmest vacuum at just 38mm diameter – and the Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene hard floor cleaner, a new wet and dry cleaner on which the roller is refreshed with clean water on each rotation.
Dyson’s strong earnings growth came despite significant headwinds. US tariffs were particularly damaging, foreign currency developments were not favourable, and low consumer confidence in markets such as the US, Germany and China continued. Fast-growing markets included Turkey, where volumes increased by a fifth, Korea, India, Poland, Mexico, Singapore and South East Asia, as well as Great Britain.
Dyson is renewing its commitment to delivering a premium customer service experience. In 2026, Dyson is rolling out its “never without your Dyson” promise globally, meaning that when products are being serviced or repaired, owners are given the latest Dyson technology to ensure they never have to forgo using the product they love.

Sir James Dyson, Dyson's Founder, said:
“We operate in highly competitive markets and Dyson is relentlessly focused on inventing the best-performing products. We spent more than £400m on original research and development and the results of that can be seen in our new Spot+Scrub Ai robot and new formats in wet cleaning which are changing the way that people clean. We achieved record sales of Dyson Airwrap. We also revealed new formats such as PencilVac, the world’s slimmest vacuum, and HushJet, a purifier featuring an entirely new way to silence the air as it exits the machine.”

Hanno Kirner, Dyson CEO, said:
“In 2025, the US tariffs were particularly damaging. However, Dyson fared well, with earnings and operating profit up significantly and costs markedly down. We greatly increased our agility and speed of delivery in product development. We launched a record number of 13 significant new products, notably Spot+Scrub Ai robot, and a new wet floor cleaner in the final quarter of the year and created an even larger product pipeline for 2026. In 2026, we will be unveiling more products than ever before, at a range of different price points, which will put Dyson’s products into the hands of millions of new customers.”
NOTES TO EDITORS:
2025 was marked by the launch of significant new formats and technologies, including:
Dyson Spot+Scrub™ Ai robot vacuum
Dyson’s new robot, a vacuum and wet floor cleaner in one machine, with self-emptying docking station and AI-powered learning. It continually optimises its cleaning patterns as it detects dirt and stains. It is relentless in ensuring the floor is left spotless – performing up to 15 focused cleaning passes over dirty areas until dirt is hygienically removed.
Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene wet and dry cleaner
A follow-up to the Dyson WashG1™ wet floor cleaner, it is a wet and dry cleaner on which the roller is refreshed with clean water on each rotation, to leave floors with a lovely sheen. Other wet cleaners rely on unhygienic filters which trap bacteria. The new Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene wet and dry cleaner has no filter and is simple to maintain.
Dyson PencilVac™ vacuum cleaner (2025 TIME Best Inventions)
The slimmest vacuum in the world at just 38mm in diameter and a total reimagining of the format of the vacuum cleaner. It has an entirely re-engineered dust separation system and a new cleaner head which uses four counter-rotating fluffy cones, giving excellent cleaning in any direction.

Our CleanCompaktor™ bin holds up to 30 days of compressed dust[2], and the All Floor Cones™ Sense cleaner head adjusts to every floor type[3] and ejects even the longest hair[4] straight into the bin as you clean.
