Dyson today unveils the new Dyson W1 PencilWash™, the next generation of Dyson’s unique lightweight wet cleaning range. The W1 PencilWash™ offers upgraded cleaning power in the shape of a new 84k hybrid roller system, as well as a new cleaner head design that separates wet and dry debris on the cleaner head. The new W1 PencilWash retains the lighter, slimmer, and smaller format of the original Dyson PencilWash, bringing together Dyson’s expertise in wet cleaning in our slimmest format that delivers effortless manoeuvrability and hygienic cleaning performance.

Upgraded cleaning performance with improved roller & hydration system
The W1 PencilWash features a new roller which has 16% more fibres than the original machine, making it Dyson’s most absorbent roller on a wet cleaner. The design incorporates 84,000 microfibre filaments to powerfully remove dry debris, wet spills and tough stains.
The roller is continuously refreshed with clean water across 12 points, delivering even coverage from start to finish, leaving the floor 50% drier than the previous model and reducing water stains and streaking.
Durable nylon bristles integrated into the soft microfibre roller provide agitation to lift and collect hair of any kind, including wet hair, while a new anti-tangle comb, positioned precisely behind the roller prevents hair wrapping and tangling, even on hair up to 35cm.
New Cleaner Head Waste System for quicker, cleaner and simpler waste disposal
The new innovations in the W1 PencilWash don’t stop with the cleaning performance – we’ve also reengineered the way you can empty, clean and replace the cleaner head between washes. A new cleaner head design that collects and separates wet and dry debris for easy, hygienic emptying, while removing the need for any internal pipes to prevent any clogging.
Dyson’s slimmest and lightest wet and dry cleaner; Lies flat to 180° to clean tight spaces
The new ultra-slim, lightweight machine lies completely flat, giving a working height of just 75mm, allowing you to clean all the way under low furniture without losing performance. Its pencil-thin handle, just 38mm in diameter, makes wet cleaning effortless without compromising on hygiene and cleaning power.
The W1 PencilWash weighs just 2.4kg, and 470g in hand, making it highly manoeuvrable as it steers naturally with a simple twist of the wrist.
Cleans up to 320m² of flooring² with customisable hydration modes
The Dyson W1 PencilWash™ offers two hydration modes for precise control of floor wetness. Whether tackling light spills or stubborn stains, users can adjust water flow to suit different surfaces and cleaning needs, ensuring optimal results with a quick-drying, streak-free floor finish.
A 300ml clean water tank cleans up to 320m² of flooring, about the size of the average four-room apartment in Singapore. With 45 minutes of runtime and a swappable battery pack for extended use, owners can clean more of their home in one go – all while maintaining a quick-drying floor finish.
